Loughnatousa Titus was an imported tall dark and handsome 16.3 hand Black Irish Sport Horse. He was kind to riders of all ages, shapes, and sizes, and could even be used as a therapy horse. There are very few horses in the world who can safely carry around disabled children and get ribbons in 1.10M jumper classes with an AA rider against stiff competition from professionals, and he was one of those gems. He craved human attention, and would do anything to get it, including being the most incredible escape artist we have ever met, and as such, he ended up on our doorstep many times.

He loved to cuddle, snuggle, and slowly sneak up to strangers at horse shows so he could make more friends. Titus had a heart of gold, was one of the most honest jumpers I have ever come across, and taught me a lot about horses. (PC: Ann Cervino)
He deserves to be remembered as a very special horse who always tried hard and never complained, even though he had an undiagnosed developmental and degenerative condition which had to have made it difficult for him to carry on without complaint, and which ended his life far too early. May you be able to gallop fast, jump high, and run free with Zoe, Titus! From his favorite person ever, Carrie France: "Much love to the best teacher, patient friend, lovable trouble maker and kind soul that was Titus." (PC: Gary Anderson)

Optimus Farm is a horse farm, rehab, and training facility as well as a Physical Therapy clinic which often has a horse or two for sale.
Horse Rehab
Tootie has a discriminating eye for subtle lameness problems most equine professionals miss! She evaluates the horse, the rider, and the two together as a partnership. In doing so, Tootie can detect how the rider's physical deficits and riding skill influence the horse's way of going, as well as how the horse's way of going may influence or cause the rider to have a repetitive stress injury. Additionally, Tootie will also ride the horse to "feel" injuries which many people cannot detect. Finally, a treatment plan will be developed to improve the limitations of both horse and rider. This consists of exercises for the horse, manual therapies and exercises for the rider, saddle fit, conformational analysis, and discussion of the best feed and supplements for the horse's needs.
The horse may be boarded at the farm for long term therapy services, the horse may ship in for appointments, or Tootie can go to the horse. This is unique service which is not provided anywhere else in the USA!
Physical Therapy clinic
Tootie Specializes in hands on "manual" Physical Therapy consisting of Muscle Energy Techniques, Joint Mobilizations, Mobilizations with Movement, Myofascial Release, Jones Strain/Counterstrain, and Semi-Custom Foot orthotics. The clinic has both a treatment room and a small gym. We also have the ability to come to your farm or home for your physical therapy needs. Pediatrics and Geriatrics are more than welcome as well. Tootie is also available for Hippotherapy sessions (Physical Therapy for disabled children on horses) by special appointment.
Tootie's Physical Therapy efforts in 2013 helped Lisa Marie Fergusson of Canada to qualify for the long list for the World Equestrian Games and the Pan American Games in 2014 for 3 day eventing on 3 different horses: Ferral Errol, Uni Sprite, and Honor Me! This foundation also helped her to make the list of alternates for the 2016 Olympics on Honor Me, as well as the Canadian team for the World Equestrian Games in 2018. Congratulations to Lisa!
Stabling
We are centrally located to most USEA Virginia events, including Hunt Club, CDCTA, Morven Park, Middleburg Hunt, Loudoun Hunt, and Great Meadow. We are also very close to the USEF show at Upperville. If stabling is full, you only need a stall for a night instead of a weekend, or if you prefer to put yourself up on the same property as your horses, come stay with us. We have 3 rooms in the house for the humans, and 4 stalls for the horses.. Top notch care and facilities. There are also several air bnb's within a few miles of the farm...
Self Care Boarding
We currently have availability for 3-6 horses. The farm has a 12 stall barn, 17 total acres of three fenced pastures with run in sheds, lovely 195 x 95’ riding arena with good footing, and all the ride out / hacking you could ever want and then some. There is also a very spacious hay loft, a tack room to die for, a laundry room and a half bathroom as well as a posh wash stall. Ideal candidate for this type of boarding would be a quiet horse person who has several horses of their own. Lessons also available on the farm and your trainer is welcome, so long as he or she provides an insurance certificate of liability coverage with Optimus Farm being a named insured.
